Horses

All my life I have loved horses and used to dream of having my own one day. I was only able to ride when I would get a chance to ride one of my friend's. I think the last time I was rode was around 8 or 9 years ago. Well, today I go got a chance to go ride with some friends in an arena and I was so excited. I forgot how much I love everything about horses, even the musty smell of leather, hay and...well...horse. I've forgotten alot of things about riding and had to work on relaxing myself when trotting or galloping....I know my leg's will be sore tomorrow but it was totally worth it.
There is nothing like that feeling when you are floating along feeling the powerful muscles work beneath you.
Now I want a horse again.....sigh

Cookie Day

Our MOPS (mothers of preschoolers) had a cookie exchange in Dec and I made gingerbread cookies. Eric helped me in his little apron....although he is only wearing shorts. Apparently he likes the cooking with minimal clothes!!!
I gave him his own little cookie sheet and he was so proud of it, watching it cook and eating it...well thats the best part.

Pictures of little Joe

I was so excited to get some pictures scanned of Joe as a little boy. Joe's mom had a bunch and it's neat to see Eric in some of these pictures.

I see some of Eric in this picture.

A motto for 2008

One of the secrets of a long and fruitful life is to forgive everybody everything every night before you go to bed.

I love you Grandma

Today my Grandma passed away. I have never had anyone close to me die, it's very hard. I feel happy for her, she having a great time in heaven, reuniting with her husband and seeing Jesus. I just miss her. I want to call her up and talk but I can't. It's hard to think about. Below are some of the last pictures of her about a week ago.
